SEAI's grant programmes are designed to facilitate the energy upgrades to Ireland's old and inefficient building stock. It is necessary to upgrade our buildings' energy efficiency and improve renewable energy production to enable us to meet the 2030 national target. SEAI understands that helping communities reduce their energy usage and associated carbon footprint can reduce energy bills and increase property values as legislation continues to tighten up.
The Communities Energy Grant is a government-funded program that helps neighbourhoods make their buildings more energy efficient. By providing funding for retrofit projects, the program encourages communities to work together on these projects, allowing them to be completed more cost-effectively.
The key to our success is ensuring that all auditing and advisory services are tailored to our client's needs and the specific issues identified within their properties. As a result, our applications cater to a mix of domestic, commercial and community beneficiaries, utilising innovative partnerships and compiling all relevant documentation required for successful grant applications.
SEAI requires an energy audit for each commercial property applying for a grant funding under the CEG programme. KRA Renewables' team of experienced renewable energy engineers with great networks are on hand to provide this important service. See the "Energy Audit" page for more information.
When you get in touch with our team, the first step is to arrange an initial consultation. During this consultation, we will work with you to determine the most suitable upgrades for your home. Once we have identified the best options, we will help you arrange an accredited SEAI (Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland) contractor to carry out the work. Finally, we will handle the process of claiming grant funding on your behalf so that you can take advantage of the financial incentives available for home energy upgrades.
KRA Renewables will act as your project coordinators, applying for the program on your behalf as part of a competitive process. After submission, SEAI reviews all applications and awards funding to projects which will be supported under the scheme for 12 months. After that, applicants must wait for a letter of offer before starting any work, and they'll have 12 months to complete the project.
